Beware of Chiropractic Website Marketing Promises

By Matthew Loop DC

If you currently have a chiropractic website and it's not producing new patients or sales from information products that you have, you are not alone. In fact 90% of chiropractors that have websites, don't know the first thing about driving massive amounts of visitors (traffic) to them to get new patients. Typically they are promised by their webmaster that after the site is created, the flood-gates will open and they will begin to get noticed by people in the community.

This is absolutely a lie that many website creators keep from you so you will continued to host your website at their many times expensive service. Just because you have a professional, expensive and aesthetically appealing website doesn't automatically mean it will make you a boatload of money.

When you dive into the world of internet marketing and Web 2.0, you're diving into the chiropractor's goldmine. If you refuse to tap into this new and powerful form of marketing, you'll most likely be left in the dust, which is exactly where most of the other chiropractors are today. It seems like the options are endless online. With all the different strategies including Pay-Per-Click, Banner Ads, email marketing, and social media marketing, the question becomes: How do you decide?

First realize that if you're spending a lot of money on marketing for your chiropractic practice, you are totally throwing that money away. If someone is charging you an arm and a leg to advertise your practice, there is no question that their marketing methods are a thing of the past and have no legs in the modern world. Don't get stuck in this trap like everyone else! Social media marketing online is the wave of the future, and it costs you nothing at all. When you join a site like YouTube, Facebook, or Friendster, you're taking the firsts steps to bring your chiropractic practice back to life.

When you're starting out in this massively popular marketing realm online, you need a mentor that can help you drive thousands of new visitors to your website. That means potential patients that are interested in your practice and want to know more. When you do this alone, you could potentially waste a lot of time and money trying to figure it all out with poor results. Don't try to reinvent the wheel.

When you use video to market on YouTube or similar sites, you have a free outlet for your information that is directly targeted to your community. You're going to see countless new patients walking through your doors, and the advertising works for you continuously 24 hours a day.

After only a few short months, some of my videos were seen by literally thousands of people. If this were a Pay-Per-Click engine, can you even imagine how much that would have cost? That's a huge amount of money! You can get some phenomenal indexing for your video on Google if you know the tricks of the trade. Soon you'll find yourself at the top of the search engine, for a price that's cheaper than you ever imagined.

Be cautious and skeptical if a chiropractic website creator tells you that by just having a website, you will get tons of new patients and sales. You could have the best website in the world, but if no one knows about it, then it doesn't matter. If you are looking for mass exposure to your local, national or international community, then marketing via high-traffic social media sites is the perfect way to go and will be very lucrative for your practice.
