So what is local internet marketing? It is the process of getting people from the desired geographic region to come to your site and hopefully make you some good old cash. The truth is that the more specific the search phrase the easier it is to rank for them. If you want to rank for "Joe Smith custom super computers for scientists Madison, Wisconsin then you will have very little trouble ranking for it and may even get ranked the same day you work on it. Keyword work is hard when you are only going for broad terms like cars, phones, banks, etc.

In order to effectively implement your local internet marketing efforts you need to know how to find effective keywords. Some words are easy to rank for but are worthless while others are easy and very effective. Lucky for you the internet has several good blogs that teach you for free or a very nominal cost how to search for keywords and market online.
