How To Find Extra Retirement Income And Live Freely

By John Farcikan

Would you like to have some extra retirement income?

When you retired, you thought you were set for life. After all, you had worked for many years and set aside a portion of your income every pay period for retirement. For the first few years everything seemed fine, but then beginning in 2006, the market began to drop and before you knew what had happened that nest egg that you had saved had lost half of its value. Now you know that to continue to live like you have in the past you have become accustomed, you are going to need extra retirement income.

Where do your look for extra retirement income?

The option of returning to the old employer is out of the question. They do not have enough work for the employees that they have now and are still laying people off. Besides a full time job when you are supposed to be retired is not what you had planned. You cannot travel and work full time. Here is a way to have your cake and eat it too. You can still enjoy your retirement and find a way to work from home.

Use your home computer and become a freelance writer. You can find many opportunities online that allow you to use your home computer to write articles as a ghost writer that will pay you money. You can easily make a couple of hundred dollars per week and never leave your home. As long as you can type and have a decent command of the English language, you can bring in an additional eight hundred to thousand dollars per month. While that may not be enough money to live on, it certainly can supplement your social security and pension plans. It can make a real difference in your quality of life.

If you are going to try free lance writing, be cautious. There are some people that will take your writing samples and never pay you for them. There are others that will give you writing orders and never pay. Be sure that the company you work for pays you on a regular basis. If they do not pay stop working for them and find someone else.
