What Keyword Density Will Give You The Most Results?

By Jason Glover

Dear Friend,

What is the ideal keyword density? Some believe that 2 to 8 percent is the ideal keywords density for SEO purposes. Other think that 2 percent is optimum and anything higher than this will get the site penalized by Google. 5% keyword density is preferred for search engines such as Yahoo and MSN. However, the question is whether this percentage is really ideal.

Being an SEO writer, I feel that most online marketers need keyword seeding density that amounts to at least 10 percent or higher. Google is considered to be the most popular search engine across the World Wide Web. Now, if Google starts penalizing websites with keywords seeded at more than 2 percent, it will be senseless for all my clients to ask for more than 2 percent seeding.

With major search engines online such as Google, MSN and Yahoo incorporating keyword relevance to the web content, the main focus at one time, keyword density has taken a back seat. In fact it is not give a lot of importance.

In order to make your keywords pay off, you need to make certain they are relevant to what you are offering. If they are not, you will drive the wrong audience to your site and this is a waste of time.

The above stated importance of keyword density has resulted into a lot of misleading search results. This has lead to giving more emphasis on keyword relevance to actual content by search engine operators in order to enhance their services. Now, if you have a website that's focused on rutabaga farming and want to attract more traffic, the search engine will get confused as your keyword 'sex' scattered around the website doesn't relate to the topic at all. This results in your site setting blacklisted or penalized from search index.

By writing articles and strategically placing keywords throughout the article, you are doing your business a great service. The key to success in this area is to use keywords that are relevant to your website. By writing informative articles with good keywords, you will do much better than if you do not.

To your success,

Jason

P.S. The importance of keyword relevance should never be overlooked. This is very important to help you get the right traffic to your site.
