Save The Marriage - Saving My Marriage

By Chris Jensen

Everyone who gets married does so in the hopes that their marriage will last. However, all marriages go through some troubles, and if you don't work at it you could end up losing your spouse. However, you don't want to just give up. Make "saving my marriage" one of your goals for the year.

Many people decide after a time that their marriage is just not making them happy anymore, so they must not be in love after all. They jump right into divorce. This really isn't a valid reason for getting divorced and giving up on your marriage.

If you are unhappy, you need to figure out exactly what is making you unhappy and come up with things you can do in order to make yourself happy again. You don't want to just decide that "saving my marriage isn't an option." With a little work you can probably find a way to improve your situation.

Before you give up on your marriage you want to be sure to consider all of the consequences, both to you and to your spouse and kids. You want to give the marriage your best shot and work on it in order to keep in viable.

Sometimes you might find out that your spouse is unhappy and thinking of leaving, and in these cases it is also very important to work on saving your marriage. Talk to your spouse and find out why they are not happy and what you could do in order to improve the situation. Apologize if you have been doing something that made him or her unhappy. You will regret it if you don't try.
