By Richard Hill

There is no need to suffer a lot of shame or embarrassment due to your hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are a common problem that many people deal with due to enlarged veins that occur when the body strains during a bowel movement. Internal hemorrhoids are located inside the rectum or anus, and the external ones are outside, or are exposed. The external hemorrhoids are usually what give us the most problems with being itchy, irritating and real painful. Consider treating your hemorrhoids the natural ways.

One of the first things that you will want to do is change your diet. Cut out as much red meat as possible, if not all, and replace it with more fiber. Red meat is tough to digest, and therefore will cause strain during bowel movements. Fiber will soothe your stomach, and help you to digest your food better. Changing the food choices you make, will surprise you how fast it can change the way you pass your bowels. Keep a food diary to figure out which foods you will need to change in your diet, to prevent further outbreaks of hemorrhoids.

Choose a plan that will work for you on how to relieve some of the itchiness. Submerging them in a warm bath, whether you use a shallow pan, or your bathtub for ten to fifteen minutes. This will clean the area, as well as give you relief. When you are done, dry the area completely by patting it gently with a clean cloth or towel. You don't want to be too rough and cause more problems.

With all the research on herbs that draw out the inflammation, you can find a great natural cream to apply to the area. There are several of them, but horsechestnuts is one you will want to look for. Witch hazel, butcher's broom, are two other great ingredients to look for. Do your research as some of these come along with some warnings. They are excellent though to use when you are seeking to relieve the pain and calm down the swelling. These can give you quick relief, and make you more comfortable when you are suffering from pain withyour hemorrhoids.

There are many natural remedies for hemorrhoids, so take a moment to find out which ones work for you.
